Evaluation and Report Language (EARL) 1.0 Schema
We refer to the Evaluation and Report Language (EARL) 1.0 Schema for defining the status of test results in our conformance assessments.
Test Result Status Values
The following status values are used to describe whether a subject passed or failed a test:
passed
The subject passed the test. This indicates that the subject meets the requirements of the success criterion being evaluated.
failed
The subject failed the test. This indicates that the subject does not meet the requirements of the success criterion being evaluated.
cantTell
It is unclear if the subject passed or failed the test. This status is used when there is insufficient information to make a determination, or when the test result is ambiguous.
inapplicable
The test is not applicable to the subject. This status is used when a particular success criterion does not apply to the platform, feature set, or context being evaluated.
Untested
The test has not been carried out. This status indicates that the criterion has not yet been evaluated.
